Yesterday I had the privilege of presenting virtually to a group, the journey I have been taking in becoming an author. I enjoy talking about it as much as doing it. I have two more presentations scheduled for next week.
I remember when Madeline Miller came to Spokane and spoke on her books, Song of Achilles and Circe, I was intrigued by what she had to say about her books and the process of writing them, and just as intrigued with the idea of getting to do that for my books. While creating the world within those books is challenging and rewarding, there is so much more to say about them than can be revealed in them, if that makes sense. The books only start the conversation. My themes of gender equity, racism, justice, cultural interaction, to name a few, provide a rich opportunity for conversation. I hope to get more opportunities to interact with readers in the future.
Thanks for reading my blog(s).
