Five months of pretty intense writing resulted in a first draft of STRYMON. I don’t usually print out the manuscript of the first draft of a book, but this one is complicated enough that I wanted to be able to work with it on paper. When I say complicated, I am referring to that as the author. I don’t think that it will be complicated for the reader (by the time I get to the final draft.) Now I will let it cure for a while before I begin the second draft. I poured it into the book template to see what it looks like, and the text is at 420 pages. I think it will be less than that in the final draft, but who knows. I don’t – yet.
